POTTERFEST
On February the 22nd and February the 23rd, PotterSoc are proud to announce that NUIG will be hosting the country's first quidditch intervarsity. Yes, you heard us- quidditch. That magical sport they play in Harry Potter is coming to life right here in Galway.
The weekend will begin on Friday the 22nd, with the foyer of Áras na Mac Léinn acting as the university's own Diagon Alley. Guest speakers will give talks on the series we've grown to love and there will be house common rooms for all the students to visit. On Saturday, NUIG, DCU, NCI and Blancharstown IT will take to the quidditch pitch to battle it out for the Quidditch Cup, which will be awarded that evening during a formal Harry Potter themed ball in the beautiful Clayton hotel.
