AGM/EGM
2023-02-02T19:00
EGM + Stitch and Bitch*
Thursday, 19:00 to 20:00 Feb 02nd 2023
Would you like to be a part of the Granny Society Committee and have a say in how our committee is run? Then come along to our EGM!
At an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) all members may propose an ammendment to our Society constitution or put themselves forward for committee positions we have on offer!
For this EGM you can run for the following positions:
Events and Safety Officer (ESO):
The ESO will be responsible for ensuring the events of the
society are well planned and run smoothly. This includes organising lists of
group leaders for workshops/classes from both committee and regular society members
who volunteer, helping to decide the frequency of classes/stitch &
bitches/collabs with other societies along with the rest of committee. Will be
responsible for keeping track of dates of collabs and may be most responsible
for ensuring details of said collabs are properly decided upon. This role will
also be responsible for ensuring each event is compliant with Societies' Safety
Procedures and Policies.
Public Relations Assistant (PRA):
This
role will be responsible for helping the PRO in their role. This includes
helping to create posters for weekly and special events, running the society
social media accounts, and generally promoting the society online and on
campus. The PRO and PRA will work
together as a PR team.
1st Year Representative:
This role will be filled by a first-year student. They shall be elected to a maximum of 2 at an AGM/EGM. These committee members shall assist in the running of the society, similar to an OCM, but with the specific responsibility of ensuring that first year students feel welcome at events and heard as part of the society.
*After (and even during) our EGM we will continue to have our weekly Stitch and Bitch in which members can work on their own craft projects or make use of our lovely society equipment to make something brand new!
