Meet the Scientist School Visits
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Travel to local schools with a team of 4-6 other volunteers to chat with children (10-12 years old) about what it’s like to be a scientist, your life outside of being a scientist and help more children feel like their lives and experiences are valued in science.

One-hour Q&A workshop: each scientist chats with and creates a poster with a group of 3-6 children in their classroom.

No experience needed: you will receive full training.

Contribute to science outreach research: These visits are part of CE’s PhD student (and past volunteer coordinator) Shannon’s IRC-funded research. You may be invited for a follow-up interview about your valuable opinions/experience of the workshop and training. All data will be anonymised.
