Malaysian Society's annual event, "Sports Carnival" was held on the 13th of October in conjunction with the National Sports Day of Malaysia. In conjunction with Mental Health Week, we believe sports play an important role in enhancing mental health and our goal was to encourage students to use this as a platform. We hoped to foster new relationships with other students as well as keeping our health in check in a fun way. This year, we hosted both badminton and futsal competitions as they are both common sports in Malaysia. We started early at 9 am and ended with a prize-giving ceremony at 3 pm. We received good feedback from the participants; and we the organising committee are extremely happy to see more participation this year compared to last year's. To add in to all this fun, all participants were served an authentic Malaysian lunch, "Nasi Ayam". We hope to host more events like these in future to share our culture with the world.
