  • Azhara Night 2018

    On the 20th of October, the Malaysian Society hosted an event with the theme 'Women Empowerment'. The event started in the evening at 8pm and ended at 10pm. The participants joined and delved into the history of powerful women through interactive learning like coming up with a sketch and answering questions on Kahoot. Some of the things we did included an opening talk by our fellow Malaysian female doctor and also Secret Santa to end the night.   • Malaysia Galway Sports Carnival 2018

    Malaysian Society's annual event, "Sports Carnival" was held on the 13th of October in conjunction with the National Sports Day of Malaysia.  In conjunction with Mental Health Week, we believe sports play an important role in enhancing mental health and our goal was to encourage students to use this as a platform. We hoped to foster new relationships with other students as well as keeping our health in check in a fun way. This year, we hosted both badminton and futsal competitions as they are both common sports in Malaysia.   • Malaysia Family Day 2018

    Malaysian Society's annual event, "Family Day" was held on the 16th of September in conjunction with Malaysia Day. The theme was "Upholding Tradition & Culture in the Modern Age" where Malaysian participants, as well as some international students, joined and delved into Malaysian history through interactive learning like playing games and answering questions on Kahoot.
