Socs Cinema: Book your slot to show a movie.

Socs Cinema!

We are launching Socs Cinema Monday 20th.

Societies would you like to book a night to show a movie?

Cinema is the first permitted indoor event.
Fill the form in the link below in order to book a slot for Socs Cinema for the next 2 weeks, The Theatres are available until the end of this term. We have The Lecture Hall in the HBB, Venue A and the lecture hall in Aras ui Cathaill, Venue B is booked from 6pm - 10pm for cinema. Maximum capacity 48 for Aras ui Cathaill and 50 for the HBB. (this depends on the pod configurations). Your attendees will be able to book their seat and also indicate if they are in a pod.

Additional Info


The film will start at 10 minutes after the hour and finish at 10 minutes to the hour. The maximum length of movie 1 hour 40 minutes. Strictly No food in the Theatre.  There is a 6pm slot and an 8pm slot.
Promotion: The SocsBox will be promoting Socs Cinema and advertising what is on in the cinema each week so you must submit your movie choice by Thursday of the previous week at the latest.
Health & Safety: members must clean the venue when you enter with the wipes provided, then put them in the bins provided, members must sit in allocated seats and book in advance, maximum 50 attendees in pods of 6 with 2m between pods. Masks to be work except when seated. Full guidelines on safe seating allocation will be provided. COVID & Fire Safety announcement at the start of the film.
NOTE Film must be obtained legally to be covered under our MPLC  umbrella license.
Note unlike all your other events this can start prior your society completing your Safety Statement but you will need one member of the society present who has completed the COVID-!9 Officer Training. 
SocsBox has the risk assessment done for this event and will help you with your first session.
