With over 100 Societies in University of Galway you are sure to find one for you.
We will be hosting a virtual open meeting for society committee members to join us from 12pm this Thursday May 21st. We will email out a link an hour before the meeting, we will be using Teams as this can host 250 members. Ideally we would like a representative or two from each society so we can address your issues. The purpose is to brainstorm around the function of Societies in a Virtual World, this may be our reality for semester 1 so we need to think how societies can achieve their aims and objectives virtually. If you have any ideas to share before the meeting, that would be great, email them to me at socsofficer@socs.nuigalway.ie. we have created a shared google sheet where we will add in ideas as they are developed so we can support each other. Shared sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U8XAPfyB-kIQaObJDx-JmlnnmIGP63v2TiVe7stoLsE/edit?usp=sharing PLEASE NOTE THE CONTENT OF THIS SHEET IS FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS ONLY. The SocsBox also needs to see how it can best support the societies and students in the virtual space. Check out the zoom tips https://socs.nuigalway.ie/admin/uploads/fileVault/?f=NTU2
