CUMAS Society

A fun social space for students with disabilities and their allies. Cumas Society supports the Hybrid Model of disability activism which combines the medical and social models to create a more inclusive form of disability activism which acknowledges both the medical and social impacts of disability.

Our aims:

    • To create a safe and inviting social space for students experiencing any physical, intellectual or mental disability, and their allies.
    • To engage with organisations and charities that gives back to our communities
    • To endeavour to hold accessible and inclusive events for all members of the society
    • To foster opportunities for students to have a voice on issues that have a significant impact on their lives and wellbeing.
