SAVA

SAVA is a NEW society aimed to educate NUIG university students about antibiotics and vaccines. This society is for anyone who is curious about these topics and would like to learn more. Students from non-health related disciplines are particularly encouraged to get involved.

We aim to educate people on the importance and benefits of antibiotics/vaccines, raise awareness about antibiotic resistance, explain how antibiotics/vaccines work, as well as dispel vaccine-related myths. The society will have 2 weeks of awareness, one for antibiotics (November 11-18) as well as for vaccines (April 24-30). This club will be most active during these times. A live-virtual symposium will be held at the end of each awareness week, where your questions can be answered by experts.
