Anime and Manga Society

The Anime and Manga Society was created from an interest and passion for Anime, Manga and Japanese culture. It is a place where people can enjoy Anime and Manga and also make life long friendships.

The Anime and Manga Society is a group which encourages people to be themselves and provides a place in which people with an interest in Anime and Manga, whether it be just watching Pokemon or binge watching multiple anime series during study week, can come and enjoy brilliant shows in even better company.

The Society, has a vast manga library which is open to all members; the committee are both hard working and enthusiastic; the events are bi-weekly and planned with the society's members best interests at heart.

All aspects of Japanese cultures are celebrated such as the food through taster nights, the music through J-Pop and the language through Japanese work shops with the cultural highlight being Akumakon: the Japanese Cultural Anime and Manga Convention.

The main strength of the society is how it acts as a medium through which people can meet others with similar interests and make friends who eventually become like family.
