Der Verein der deutschen Gesellschaft. The Society for Students interested in German Language, Culture and Parties!

The German Society aims to organise events to promote the German language and the cultures of German-speaking countries, be it Austria, Switzerland or Germany. Its main aim is to bring all members of the German Society together and to make everyone's experience of german a memorable one so get involved!

The society aims to organise events to coincide with popular German festivals, such as Oktoberfest, Karneval and our annual Christmas Party is guaranteed to be a great night. We've also got the famous and hugely popular German Society Boat-Trip with a cruise on the Corrib Princess. We are always open to hearing your ideas and suggestions for new events - just contact us.

In the coming months we'll be organising a trip abroad to a German city and to other great places so keep an eye out for our emails.

We have set up our monthly Stammtisch, by which German and English speaking students can help eachother improve their language skills. Get in contact if you are interested!!

We are also determined to raise money within the society for charity this year! We will be holding charity events and getting involved in chartiable activities so it would be great if all our members get involved!
