Paediatric Society

NUIG Paediatric Society was established in 2016 with the intention of bringing together all those with an interest in the healthcare and wellbeing of children. The society is open to all NUIG students and not just those studying medicine.

Paediatric Society is open to all medical and non-medical NUI Galway students. The Society's overall aims are to increase early student exposure to Paediatrics, including its unique learning requirements. We wish to provide a forum for discussion on relevant and topical Paediatric issues. We aim to encourage Paediatrics as a career and provide information regarding different pathways and the subspecialties within Paediatrics. For those who aren't studying in a medical course, there is opportunity to volunteer and to provide a service to the local community via the Healthy Heroes Initiative which teaches primary aged kids the importance of Nutrition.
