Welcome to the Law Society of NUI Galway!
We are one of the oldest and largest societies on campus. Our aim is to assist students who wish to develop a range of legal clinical and social skills, through tailored events to meet the interests and needs of our members.
With guest speakers, mooting clinics, volunteering opportunities, workshops and trips at home and abroad, we provide our members with a head-start on their career path. Whether you are an aspiring solicitor, barrister or are thinking of pursuing a different route following a Law Degree, we will help you on your way, connecting you to firms, organisation and institutions.
Law Soc has always maintained a reputation for having one of the best social calendars of a Society in NUI Galway. The annual Law Ball is always a hotly anticipated event in the calendars of Galway Law Students, and one that continues to be talked about for months after!
All of this not to mention the freshers events and Induction Day, charity fundraising, quizzes and cocktails, and other unique and exciting opportunities to socialise and meet with fellow students, providing our members with useful respite from their desks and libraries!
