NUI Galway Life Society is here to affirm the one primary, universal and fundamental right: the right to life. We exist to promote and defend the right to life of all human beings, from conception to natural death. We believe that to be human is a sufficient reason to be ascribed a right to life; which truth is borne out in the absolute uniqueness of every individual, from invisible DNA to the everyday print of a finger.
We are opposed to any threat to the right to life of any human being. Such threats include, but are not limited to, abortion, euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research. While we are not officially affiliated with any group external to NUI Galway, we are of course open to engaging in and facilitating communication and coordination with other groups which share our aims.
Our events include speakers, campaigns, information evenings, film viewings and more. We meet regularly on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. New members and new ideas are always welcomed and encouraged. Should you wish to get in touch, our contact details are on the right. Please keep an eye on our calendar for any upcoming events!
Here is our safety statement.
