The choral society is open to any student of University of Galway regardless of singing ability or experience. We're an unauditioned choir and sing all styles of music from classical to pop, and participate in numerous events throughout the year both off, and on campus.
We meet every Monday and Tuesday depending on which sectional you are in (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) . All Rehearsals will take place on Zoom. Â
Practice usually lasts about 40mins and a few times a month we organise a choir social night with a range of bonding activities to get involved in.
This year due to the global pandemic students are given an incredible opportunity to get involved in virtual video productions which will be released by premiere on our Youtube Channel. We also dedicate some of our performances to charities in University of Galway
For our upcoming event the 'Choral Finale', choir members will be performing 'Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal' in aid of COPE Galway.Â
If you are interested in signing up for the choir, or just want to receive updates on our activities, you can become a member of our mailing list through YourSpace. More information, current Choral Soc updates and pictures can be found on our Facebook page and Instagram.Â
