Mature Students
The Mature Students Society is where Mature Students get together to share experiences, give support, make friends and enjoy activities.
Membership of the Society is open to any student who feels they will benefit from our society, but particularly those who are 23years and older when enrolling at the University of Galway!
Members include Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Access students, Evening students, Part-time students and Staff.
We offer to serve as a focal point for all Mature Students in the University providing opportunities for meeting and socialising with other Mature Students from all backgrounds and of varied interests.
Our activities include:
Daytime 'Coffee and Catch Up' Meetings,
Pizza Evenings
Yoga
Bowling
Karoke nights
Cinema and Theatre Evenings.
Local Day-away and OvernightÂ
International Trips.
Member-led Activities
Before Covid we went to Lisbon in Portugal; on previous summer trips we visited: Sofia in Bulgaria, Tallinn in Estonia, Krakow in Poland, Malta, Budapest, Romania, Edinburgh and Berlin.
Day and Overnight trips within Ireland included:
The Aran Islands, Doolin in Clare, to Dublin for: Aras an Uachtarain and Leinster House.
