I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy. - Marie Curie, Nobel Prize in Physics (1903) and Chemistry (1911)

WiSTEM Society was founded in September 2020 and our aim is to support, help and encourage women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in NUIG to achieve their full potential.

We aim to be apart of a growing movement which makes STEM subjects more accessible to the next generation and make STEM a more diverse and accepting to work and excel in. With this aim comes goals to help the women of STEM in NUIG build the skills they need to succeed and find role models, internships and connections in their particular industry.

We have some very exciting events lined up and are currently in talks with a plethora of companies... Sign up via YourSpace and stay tuned for what lies ahead!

If you have any suggestions for speakers you'd like to see, companies you'd like to connect with, internships you'd like to pursue please email us at wistem@socs.nuigalway.ie
